Re: Perth
Our only Scandinavian hope in F2D are the Finnish Team. This is from R1:
Jussi had real luck in his flight with Kevin Su from Singapore. 1-1 in cuts but 6 seconds better airtime for Finland.
Kim flew very well but James Palmer NZL took threee cuts and won. Then it doesn't matter that Kim had two cuts.
Better luck for Timo as he won with 2-1 over Vitaly Kochunts from Latvia.
A lot of nice and clean flying but not really any surprises to report home about.
Tomorrow we will send the first ones home....... Tonight it will be a Vietnamese Restaurant!

Re: Perth
The Tuesday report is here........
Niels did 288 something in speed. The two Brits are still in the lead.
No idea about Aerobatics (but Jerker is sitting at ringside so he will tell you!!!! )
In F2C Bengt-Olof is back on track. He told me today that it was the legs that disappeared somewhere... Today Team Galax did 3.57 and that place them very close to the bottom of the list. Better luck tomorrow!
R2 in F2D was completed today. We lost 12 pilots so 41 remains for R3. Jussi and Timo are on two lives together with 10 others.
Jussi met Gordon Price GBR and won with 2-1 in cuts.
Timo flew Pepe Luis Lopez ESP and won on airtime. 1-1 in cuts.
Kim was more unhappy as he lost to Mike Whillance GBR. 1-1 in cuts but less airtime. Kim is now out of the contest.
In R3 Timo will meet Andrii Stebnitskyi UKR and Jussi will fly Michael Comiskey AUS.
Time for dinner. See you tomorrow!

PS. Per, I will hardly find a Rothwell that is for sale. They are so wanted ..... and Steve Rothwell is not coming here at all ...... DS

Re: Perth
Good evening
Wednesdays flying is now over. No change in F2A. In F2C an Australian and a French team managed to get into the Semi's.
Our friend from LTU, Nerijus got place 9 with his 3.15 (I think it was personal best for Nerijus and Gintaras).
Also our Combat flyer friend from USA, Alex Topunov, did a personal best in F2C with 3.27 something.
Our hope and pride, the Galax Team, managed to get 3.53 today. A couple of seconds better compared to yesterday. But it only gave the 3rd place. From the bottom. So they have to go home and figure out why almost everyone else is so much faster.
Today, after several protests (all denied) we managed to finish round 3. Both Timo and Jussi won their matches. If I am not wrong they both had 2-1 in cuts.
Timo's heat in R3. Vs Andrii Stebnitskyi UKR
Jussi's heat in R3. Vs Michael Comiskey AUS
We started on R4 and did 6 heats. 3 of them ended in reflights. Among these were Jussi's heat against Boroda RUS (1-1 and same time)
This evening the F2D Judges are invited to have dinner with the Polish Team. They have just like the Spanish Team, rented a house for all of them.
We start at 9.00 tomorrow and will try to get it down to 4 competitors left for Friday.
